Thank you for choosing Habitat for Humanity HRM/ Annapolis Valley as your charity of choice. From housewarmings to concerts, golf tournaments to galas, every event held in support of Habitat AV gets us one step closer to achieving our mission of eradicating poverty housing.
In order to help you plan and execute your event, here are a few things you should know ahead of time and consider when you are planning.
Habitat AV can:
* Provide event planning advice
* Send, where appropriate and available, a Habitat for Humanity AV representative
* Issue tax receipts (if applicable)
* Provide Habitat for Humanity AV marketing materials
* Post an event listing on our online event calendar
* Allow use of the Habitat AV name/logo
* Provide a letter of support that validates the authenticity of the event
Habitat AV cannot:
* Provide funding or reimbursement for event expenses
* Provide access to donor our lists
* Guarantee promotion or advertising of your event, except on our online event calendar
* Guarantee attendance of staff or volunteers at your event
* Provide access to celebrities or VIPs
* Supply prizes, auction items, awards
Conditions:
* Name and logo usage must be approved
* Tax receipt information (if you are approved to issue receipts) must be received within 30 days of the event
* Volunteer event organizer will obtain all necessary permits, licenses and insurance
* Volunteer event organizer must adhere to all receipting policies as outlined in the tax receipting section and by the Canada Revenue Agency
* Habitat for Humanity AV reserves the right to withdraw the use of its name at any time and will not assume any costs that may be involved in doing so
* Habitat for Humanity AV will not assume any legal or financial liability
* Habitat for Humanity AV is not responsible for any damage, accidents to persons or property
* Habitat for Humanity AV cannot accept donations where the majority of the funds raised were through gambling or the sale of alcohol. |
